Funnels - Why Do I Need One?

May 07, 20242 min read

“Funnels are not just important - they are vital to growing your business.” ~ Kat Milner

Introduction:

If you run a business, chances are you have heard the term funnel. And if you haven't, you're definitely in the right place.

In a nutshell, a funnel is what guides a contact to become a lead, and eventually a client. Let's explore the different part of a funnel.

8 Reasons

1. Parts of a Funnel

You'll hear marketing people talk about the TOP of Funnel, MIDDLE of Funnel, and BOTTOM of funnel. These terms refer to what stage a lead is in to becoming a client.

2. Top of Funnel

These are potential leads for your business, but are ice cold. They don't know you, and they don't trust you (yet). Your job here is to let them get to know you, and show them why they can trust you.

Below we'll talk about how to attract this group.

3. Middle of Funnel

This group already knows you to some extent, and has a relationship with you. They've been consuming your content, and know you can be trusted.

The majority of your content will be directed to this group of leads.

4. Bottom of Funnel

This group is red hot! You have been building a relationship for a while, and they know, like, and trust you. You need to show them the way!

5. How to Attract Top of Funnel Leads

Your content here is designed to attract, and create awareness, engagement, let them evaluate you, and ultimately, want to build a relationship with you.

This is where things like Facebook Ads, consistent social media posting, commenting in Facebook groups (adding value, not selling), and going live come in. It lets people get to know you, and shows that you are someone they can trust, and moves them to the MIDDLE of the funnel.

This is also the group that your LEAD MAGNET will target. You give them great value, in exchange for their contact information.

6. Communicating with Middle of Funnel Leads

This is the group that you focus on giving significant value. They already know you, are on your list, and probably in your Facebook group.

Your job is to build on the relationship, showing them why they want to work with you.

In other words, give them high value, without giving the store away.

7. Bottom of Funnel Leads

This is where the rubber meets the road - the clients that make it here know you, like you, and most importantly, trust you.

If you've gotten them here, it's time to have that conversation that shows them how they're missing out if they're not working with you.

If you've done it right, they're saying "Take my money!!!"
