“Planning isn't about forcing structure. It's about tuning in to what matters, and building space for it to flow.”
~ Kat Milner, Digital Mentor, Strategy Coach, and Chief Tech Ninja
Introduction:
You know the end of the quarter is coming fast - and with it, that pressure to “get your act together” before the end of the year.
You’re not new to this.
You’ve tried planning sessions. You’ve bought the templates.
Maybe you’ve even sat down with a giant coffee and said, “Right. I’m mapping out the quarter.”
But then…
The ideas start swirling.
You second-guess what to focus on.
You worry you’ll plan the “wrong” thing, or waste time building something no one wants.
So you close your notebook, promise yourself you’ll do it later…
…and keep doing what you’ve always done. Even if it’s not working.
If this sounds familiar – know you’re not alone.
And it’s not because you’re bad at planning.
It’s because you haven’t been shown how to plan in a way that actually works for your brain.
That’s exactly what we’re exploring today – how to use AI as a co-planner.
Because when it’s used right, AI can help you clarify your ideas, see your next step, and build a quarter that actually feels doable.
Even if you’ve never had a 90-day plan before.
When most coaches sit down to do quarterly planning, they usually start with content.
“What should I post?”
“What’s my next month's offer?”
“What should I launch?”
But content is a delivery vehicle - not the foundation.
If you haven’t already clarified what kind of client you’re calling in, what outcome they want, and how your offer delivers that clearly and confidently…
Your plan becomes a flurry of effort without real traction.
It’s not that you’re doing it “wrong” - you’re just starting in the wrong place.
A confident quarter plan begins with alignment:
Who do you want to work with?
What kind of work feels sustainable for you right now?
What’s the most natural way you want to show up?
And what role does your content play in building relationships?
When you have that clarity, your plan becomes a roadmap — not a guessing game.
Before you rush to plan the next 90 days, it’s worth pausing to gather what’s happened in the past 90 days.
But this isn’t about dissecting your data or nitpicking your numbers.
It’s about noticing what’s felt in flow… and where the friction showed up.
Here’s a ChatGPT prompt you can try:
Prompt: Help me reflect on the past 90 days in my coaching business. Ask me questions that will help me notice what felt aligned, what felt off, and where I naturally had the most energy or engagement.
Let ChatGPT guide you with reflective questions — and respond intuitively.
This isn’t about having ‘right’ answers. It’s about surfacing the patterns that matter.
Once you’ve looked back with clarity, it’s time to look ahead with possibility.
Here’s a simple prompt stack you can copy directly into ChatGPT to shape your next 90 days:
Prompt 1: Based on my reflections, help me identify 3 clear priorities for the next 90 days that support sustainable growth and feel aligned with my energy.
Prompt 2: Suggest 1–2 projects under each priority that would move the needle without overloading me.
Prompt 3: Turn this into a 90-day roadmap with a clear monthly focus.
This process isn’t about cramming in more. It’s about choosing what matters, and releasing what doesn’t.
When you’re building a soul-led business, your planning process has to feel good - otherwise it just becomes another abandoned idea in your Google Drive.
Here’s the structure I recommend (and use myself every quarter):
Reflect → Ask ChatGPT to help you review the past quarter
Clarify → Use prompt stacks to define aligned priorities
Simplify → Build a 90-day plan with just one core focus per month
Systemise → Use tools to automate and bring it all to life
This isn’t about having it all figured out.
It’s about giving your future self something solid to stand on - a clear, confident foundation that leaves room for your magic.
Once you’ve started mapping things out, check for these markers of alignment:
1. It’s simple enough that you can hold it in your head
If your plan requires a spreadsheet to remember, it’s too complex. A good plan (like a good core offer) is easy to explain and feels spacious.
2. It energises you, not drains you
You might feel stretched, yes, but not like you’ve signed up for a business bootcamp you never wanted. You’ll feel clear and open.
3. You can imagine yourself actually doing it
If there’s a part of your plan that already makes you want to run and hide… that’s your nervous system saying, “No thanks.” Listen to that.
Planning doesn’t have to feel heavy.
You don’t need to overhaul your entire business in one weekend.
You don’t need a funnel, a launch plan, or 30 days of content to be ready for your next quarter.
You just need clarity on what matters most, and one tool that helps you hold the vision long enough to act on it.
This is your reminder that planning can feel empowering.
